Limo Chili Peppers
Limo Chili Pepper is one of the oldest peppers in existence, it is native to Peru and grows along the western slope of the Andes Mountains in the northern coastal part of the country. Evidence of the spicy pepper dates to 8,000 B.C.E., though the peppers weren’t mentioned until 4th century B.C.E. They were spread to Europe after being discovered by Spanish explorers in South America, arriving in Spain in the late 15th century and soon after in Italy and Germany. Limo Chili Pepper is most commonly cultivated in Peru where the locals use it in traditional Peruvian seafood dishes. Rockotto’s Limo Chili Pepper sauce gives a spicy kick to ceviche, tiradito, and the Japanese inspired sashimi. It is also the perfect sauce for a Bloody Mary.
